Map Your Online World

The Internet is a big intangible place. We use it almost every day and spend a lot of time there. But where is there and how big is it?

What or where are the different places we go to on the Internet and how does it all link together?

How do we navigate it in our heads to know where we are and where we are going?

Draw your online world as you see it. This could be in the form of a diagram, an annotated metaphor, or a Tolkienesque other worldly map. Reflect upon your online practices and your favourite online tools and platforms through the lens of the Mozilla Web Literacy Framework.

You can find a printable worksheet (PDF) and examples of other people’s online worlds at: You can also add your own online world to the website to share how you experience the Internet with others.
