My Website is...

Create your own metaphor to imagine your new online space.

This activitiy will help you better understand the potential of your new online space and the purpose of the website you wish to build.

Imagining your new space

Imagine you have a new web space. It is an empty plot of land on the web where you can create anything you want as a new website. What would you build there? Who would be invited in? What would you want to keep there?

Designing a website can be an abstract process, where it is difficult to know what is possible or what the space should look like until you start building. Using metaphors to describe your new space can help you articulate and pin down what you want to do, and support you to flex your creative thinking and problem solving skills.

Maybe your website is a house, a garden, or a leafy plant. What if it grows and changes over time? What if it is small? What if it is big? Does it have wheels, windows or tentacles?
